Who can foster?

We welcome applications from anyone aged 25 or above who believes they have the skills, qualities, space and time needed to be a caring and understanding foster parent!

The key to becoming part of our team is not the qualifications you have or the type of home you live in, it is all about your personal attributes and skills. We are looking for people who are positive, warm and nurturing but also recognise the importance of structure and routine for children’s development. 

Do you accept applications from single applicants? 

Absolutely! We welcome applications from people who are single or who are in committed and stable relationships. The key is that you have the right skills and qualities!

Do you accept applications from the LGBTQ+ community? 

Absolutely! We embrace applications from anyone regardless of their gender or sexual preference. 

Do you have an age limit? 

We accept applications from anyone aged above 25 years of age. We do not have an upper age limit as long as you are able to evidence that you are physically and mentally well enough to fulfill your role as a foster parent. 

Do I need to have a spare bedroom? 

Yes. All children who are placed need to have their own bedroom. Unfortunately, we cannot accept applications from anyone who does not yet have a bedroom available. 

Do you accept applications from BME groups? 

Absolutely! Diversity and inclusivity are at the core of what we do.
